CyberData Corp., a provider of peripheral devices for VoIP phone systems, announced the launch of its VoIP Indoor Keypad Intercom with Night Ringer function.
Available in flush or wall mount versions, the new VoIP Indoor Keypad Intercom is next in the line of SIP intercom devices.
This new SIP-enabled VoIP Intercom with Keypad is a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE 802.3af) and VoIP door entry device. It has the capability to easily connect existing local area networks (LANs) with a single cable connection. In addition, the device is compatible with most SIP-based IP PBX (News - Alert) servers that comply with the SIP RFC.
The new Indoor Keypad Intercom has been provided with a 12-key keypad. Apart from providing local and remote secure door lock control, the device also features priority-based multicast paging, a push to talk option, night ringer function and event reporting.
With two SIP extensions, the new VoIP Intercom with Keypad can be configured as a Night Ringer. One extension can be assigned to a page group for auto answer paging while the second extension can be assigned to a “First-to-Answer” Night Ring group with IP phones.
According to CyberData (News - Alert), an audio ring file is activated when the second SIP extension of the Intercom is dialed. If any of the IP phones in the ring group is answered (or if the caller hangs up), the Intercom stops ringing.
The new Indoor Keypad Intercom also has programmable speed dial and works for any private or public sector entity requiring mass notification such as medical offices and hospitals, railway stations and ports, manufacturing warehouses and more.
The new offering also features Web-based updating for firmware, user provided ring tones, Dual speed 10/100 Mbps, network volume adjustable, network microphone sensitivity adjust, and dry contact relay.
According to CyberData, its peripheral devices are designed for VoIP phone systems that facilitate legacy migration to VoIP, provides IP equivalents to existing analog phone devices and delivers unified communications-based Application Specific Endpoints.
